GOALIE SHIELD WINS FIRST EVER LOGO CONTEST

The goalie shield edged out the Pennsylvania backdrop and will be the 2018 Winter League logo after winning the first ever logo contest.

The winning logo garnered 18 of the 44 votes cast, good for a share of 41% of the total. The Pennsylvania logo received 13 votes or 30% of the total votes cast. The Star Wars theme came in third with six tallies. The XHL timeless logo received five votes while the yellow ice theme earned the final two votes.

Three people submitted the five designs. Bob Anderson submitted the top vote getting blue shield and the last place yellow ice theme. Jerred Amick created the Pennsylvania themed design and the XHL timeless logo. Both were meant to promote the XHL. Summer Anderson, hoping to curry favor the passionate followers of Star Wars, created the third-place logo
