Foradori's Final Thoughts

1. You guys picked up a 17-5 win over the Venom on Monday. How do you think you guys looked overall? Spotty, but it’s hard to really care playing games like that.

2. Invaders are next. What have you observed from them so far and what kind of game are you expecting? They have holes just like every other team. We aren’t the Yeti everyone was used to seeing the last couple years but we do still have Adam so we always have a chance.

3. Eagles lost by 6 goals to the Invaders on Monday. Do you think the results would have been different if you were still on the team? Is that even a question? Probably would have won by 6 goals.

4. Noah and Bob on the same team. Do you think they have made a good connection with one another on the court from what you have seen?  Idk if they’ve really connected yet. I think there’s still another level for them to find.

 5. AJ Cebulskie made a return Monday. How good do you think he could be if he was able to play hockey on a regular basis? He’s still really fast. And hasn’t played in like what, 5 years? With the circumstances I think he played really good.

6. Lots and lots of snow this year. Are you one of those people who complain about a lot of snow or doesn’t it bother you any?   Just gives me another reason to stay in the house. Or in the eagles case a reason to not show up for a scheduled hockey game.

7. Drake Maye vs Sam Darnold in the super bowl. Does that make it harder for you to watch or are you happy to see different people besides Mahomes in it this year?  I’ll still watch but I really couldn’t care less who wins. I hope Darnold wins it though.

 8. Whats your thoughts on going to Punxsy for Ground Hogs day? Is it something you have ever gone too? Never, and I never will. Stand elbow to elbow with a bunch of strangers so they can pull a rodent out of a box and think it tells you the weather. Yeah get bent.

9. Do you trust a ground hog at all? I think I just answered that pretty well.

10. Speaking of the super bowl ----- whats your gut telling you for this one? Seahawks 24-13

11. Mike McCarthy ----- were you surprised at all or do you think it was a good hire?  I’m surprised they didn’t go for someone younger. But he does have a decent track record for offense so maybe it will be the best for us.

 12. Baseball season is just around the corner. Dodgers payroll is $413,000,000. Can anyone beat them this season? I don’t really see any of the big market teams making moves to stop them from a 3-peat. The only chance the league has is a lockout next year

13. Whats your projected win total for the Pirates this season? 78

14. Will the Pens make the playoffs or do you think they are still a year or two away? I think they have a chance to, but everyone in the east just keeps winning every single night.

15. What other random thoughts are going through your head today?  How the pirates have been in on 3 different big free agents and haven’t singed any of them because all the players know they’re not really serious about winning. They need to sell the team. Also, high school sports in the area have gone down the toilet

John Matchock (Colonials)

1. 8-4 win over the bear claw on Monday. What can you say about the overall team effort in the win? I thought we played well. For the most part, the play was in their end. I thought bearclaw defense was good and Adam made sometimes saves to keep things close.

2. It was only 4-3 after 2 periods. Were you getting nervous at all? A little. I let in a few goals I would like to had had back.

3. They had an interesting mix of youth, more youth and then good veterans. How do you think they all looked trying to connect with one another? They had some moments where things were clicking and few that weren’t but that will get better with playing. Little Jewell and little Schuckers aren’t afraid that’s for sure.

4. You probably preferred to skate more this season. How are you feeling about your play in net so far? It’s up and down. It’s hard to get into a groove cause I have to miss a few week cause of work but that will be changing an I’ll be able to make it every week.

5. Got any predictions for the super bowl? I hate to say it but Patriots. I like what Vrabel has done with this team. But I think Seahawks defense will slow down the Patriots. I think it will be a low scoring game though.

Denny Stinchcomb (Eagles)

1. 10-4 loss to the Invaders on Monday. Do you think it was just one of those games where you just say lets move onto next week? You must have heard me or someone else say that after the game, so yeah that’s the consensus.

2. Colonials next week and may have Brian in net. What kind of game are you expecting regardless of the goalie situation? It’s always a challenge going up against Bob and company, we know that

3. Any positives you can take from the loss to the Invaders? Yeah, Clint got to run his mouth a little and I’m happy for him

4. Lots and lots of snow this winter. Whats it been like trying to deliver mail when its like this? Slow and steady - I was off the week after the big storm, luckily

5. Whats your prediction for the super bowl? Seattle wins

Zach Smith (Invaders)

1. 10-4 win over the Eagles on Monday night. What can you say about the overall team effort in the win? I thought we put together a great effort with only a couple lapses throughout the game. I think we finished on our opportunities more in this game compared to last game against them.

2. You guys pulled away in the 2nd period. What do you think you guys did better at as the game went on? I don't think we let off the gas. Our counter game was better with our passes being crisper compared to other games. We didn't get discouraged at all and kept skating.

3. How do you compare yourself trying to mix in with guys on the Yeti the past 2 seasons to mixing in with some of these guys this season?  It will always be a little of a transition trying to get used to playing with other players, but the high level of talent on each team makes it a lot easier to adjust. I think you could tell the first couple of games that our passes weren't connecting like they should, but it is clearly getting better as the games go on.

4. Speaking of the yeti, you play them next week. They are a little bit of a different team than the ones you were on. What kind of game do you expect? Should be a close game. They have a lot of speed still and they have adam in net. I don't think it will be high scoring but more of a low scoring methodical game.

5. Whats your prediction for the super bowl?  I'm not very knowledgeable about the nfl. I watched some Steelers games this year but nothing much further than that. If I had to pick, I would go with the Seahawks.
