Austin Boyd ---- Eagles

1. 3-2 loss to the Yeti last night. What can you say about the team effort in the loss? It's always fun to take on the guys we have to carry in the summer league. I spoke to Adam at the beginning of the night to see if I could get a player to swap with me because I had tweaked my back the day prior. I had second thoughts and decided that it was only fair of me to play to make the game even. They needed all the help they could get.

2. RJ scored late in the 3rd period. What do you think went wrong on that play? We took a timeout in the third to discuss the final minutes of the game. Zac gray mentioned that he didn't want to make his first appearance and beat the yeti Ironman and with a hurt Boyd. After hearing that Llewelyn had moment of kindness and said to the team... this is all these yeti players live for, hockey in Reynoldsville, let's give them the W. I told them let them all through (which id normally shut down the odd man rush). I stepped aside and gave RJ his moment of glory. Henry let me know he played off angle just to make sure as long as Rj hit the net he'd score. We knew Rj would be replaying this moment in his head years to come. Sometimes we are giving as a team. This was one of those moments.

3. Ironman. How did you feel following all those minutes without much of a break? Like I had previously mentioned, even with a bad back and Ironman I felt like we had to give them some sort of advantage or that game wouldn't have even been fun.

4. Zac Gray in the lineup last night. What did you observe from him? I look forward to playing with Zac Gray. He is going to suit our team really well. He was the only good Zac(k) on the court last night.

5. RJ took a few shots at you in his interview. How do you respond to some of that criticism? I've been carrying that bum for years. No wonder why my back was hurting. The eagles knew we wanted to do something special for Rj last night. And we did just that. Last night was a moment Rj will remember for the rest of his life. Hitting that one shot against the eagles. I can sleep well at night knowing we did that for him.
