Shootout win last night over the walkers. Were you getting nervous when you guys trailed by 2 goals with 4 minutes left? No nerves at all here. Especially when Denny was pretty much just standing there the whole third period.
How do you approach a shootout when you go one on one against the opposing goalie? I’m going 5 hole 90% of the time. Little shot fake to see if they drop and if they don’t it’s going between the legs.
What do you think the walkers did better last night then they did on opening night against you guys? (You guys mercy ruled them opening night.) Yeah, they didn’t have their turnover machine back on D so it was harder to get into the zone
You took one coast to coast in the first period for a nice goal. How did you find the energy for it? I don’t do a whole lot during the games, so every once in a while I put in some slight effort. I can do that because I don’t skate so I’m never tired.
You guys had no answer for Denny or Troy last night. How were they able to put on the clinic offensively that they did against you guys? We didn’t play defense. Pretty easy to score when you get 300 odd man rushes a game. They can think they’re good all they want but you can put any Joe Schmo out there on odd man rushes and they’ll bury a couple
Competitive vibe at the rink last night. How would you describe the vibe from what you heard about and seen? Some teams are playing for pride and others are competing like it’s the Stanley Cup finals. The Bear Claw has nothing but pride.
Were the walkers that good last night or were you guys just a little off your game? We were terrible. We had no organization at all and weren’t actually passing it to teammates. Just throwing it and hoping

NFL Free agency started yesterday. What team was the biggest winner and what team was the biggest loser so far? I think the Vikings got so much better. Their defensive line is going to be a problem. And the 49ers lost like everyone.
Fields with the jets. Were you disappointed that he didn’t stay? I wanted Fields to be our quarterback at the start of last year. He was in a bad situation in Chicago and never really got a chance. I hope he thrives in NY.
How will Rodgers fit in if he signs with the steelers? I think he’d be a good QB in an Arthur Smith offense. Hand the ball off, short passes then a deep one here and there. He’s accurate enough and has decent weapons in Pittsburgh.

What free agent signing was the biggest surprise? Broncos getting Greenlaw, their defense was already good he’s going to make it so much better.
Is Sam Darnold worth $100 million? No, but he played well enough to have an argument for it last year. Anyone can put up those numbers throwing to Jefferson.
Ironman tournament Thursday night. Hows your body usually feel following all that hockey? Again, I don’t skate much. So I normally feel fine
