You were willing to fill in for a team last night and it turned out that the Eagles were playing ironman. Would you have joined them for a one night reunion if they would have given you the invitation to do so? (Clontz/Amick/Wadds were all missing) Absolutely not. That whole franchise can crash and burn for all I care.
They fell 3-2 last night and 6-4 to the knights last week. Do you think they should feel better about 2 close losses to the leagues two top teams than winning 5 games to start the season against teams they should beat? Considering they were missing Boyd and Gray last week and missing 3 guys last night. Whatever floats their boat. They’re still not a top tier team.
Amick was a part of another successful hockey adventure this weekend. What words do you have for him after another weekend championship? Congrats, you won something that matters to a total of 18 people. Hope that makes you feel good about yourself.
Zach Smith was a part of each of the yeti’s 3 goals last night. Aside from Reiter, do you consider Zach one of the toughest players to go up against? Yeah the dude is annoying as hell to play against. Even when they’re up by 400 he won’t leave you alone. Let me die in peace.
You made a comment about teams loading up in these leagues. Do you have any regrets about that comment or do you still stand behind what you said? Never any regrets on something I said. I’ll die defending every hill I build.
You got the night off last night despite being willing to fill in if needed. Are you afraid the night off will make you want to take more Mondays off from hockey? The nights I play make me want more time away from it. A week off just shows me that I’m better off that way. Golf stats soon so I’ll be doing they more than not.
Bob and Jay Stamler had birthdays in back to back days. Do you worry at all that there are too many old guys playing hockey and not enough youth? No, someone has to give the ATA bus a reason to go to Reynoldsville.
There has been mention of baseball doing away with home plate umpires and replacing them with an automated umpiring system. What are your thoughts? I think they should keep them but implement the challenges like they are in spring training. Baseball shouldn’t be perfect.
It feels like the world is turning into a nut house. Do you blame all the hatred on social media? No but it definitely isn’t helping the issue. All social media does is give uneducated or irrelevant people a platform to speak their nonsense to other people that believe the same nonsense.
What did you do in the days before social media? I went outside like a normal kid and had real conversations with people in person. Maybe some of you people should try that.
Pirates and Yankees on opening day. As a pirate fan, would it have made more sense to play a lesser opponent on opening day (considering they always sell out anyway) and saved the home games against the yankees for later in the season? I’m going to opening day, and I hate that it’s the Yankees because their fans travel so well. It’ll be 70% yankee fans
