Brad Divins ----- Team Black still unbeaten
1. Another win tonight. What can you say about the team effort in the win? It really has been just that, a team effort. From top to bottom guys are contributing and pulling their weight and it makes for an intense and fun team to play on. 2. A scoreless game after 1 turned into a 6 to 1 lead after 2. What do you think the team did different in that 2nd period? Their team played tremendous defense all night so we were lucky to get any shots on net. I guess one got through and that made them have to attack more, allowing more offensive chances for our team. I can't say enough about how well our goalie has been playing through all these games. 3. How are you feeling about this group of guys so far? This group of guys is beyond anything I expected them to be. Playing on a friendly team, while winning is one of the best experiences I have had. 4. Vinnie has played a a key part in the teams success. As a friend and teammate, what's it like seeing him playing this well after some tough seasons together on losing teams? I've been playing on teams with Vinnie for probably about 10 years now and he has always had the right mentality and the skill. Now being surrounded by players that can get him the ball and allow him to make plays (take shots), he is starting to thrive and I couldn't be happier. 5. You hadnt played fall league before. What made you decide to sign up? After the summer league was over and we hadn't won a game, I felt like there was more I could do. It was fun to try and help the younger kids get more acclimated to playing in the XHL but deep down everybody wants to win and I have always heard how competitive and balanced the draft leagues are. Part of it was also hoping to audition for a team maybe looking to fill holes in the summer league.
