Kurt Schindler ------ Knights defeat Xtreme 7-6

1. Big win over the xtreme. What does a win like this do for team confidence? Getting a win against a very good team like the Xtreme is always a confidence builder. We knew going in it was going to be a close, hard-fought game and that’s exactly what it was. We were resilient and played hard and we were excited to come out with the win. 2. They beat you 8 to 4 on opening night. What do you think the team did better tonight? I think our forecheck was lot better compared to opening night. Our rotation was better and we were able to keep sending different guys up to pressure for the entire game. Also we were able to put more in the back of the net this game, as opposed to our 4 goals the first time around. We created good chances and capitalized on them 3. They have 3 of the best players in the league on their team. How did you think you guys matched up with them going in? Their big 3 is as talented as it gets and they create tough matchups. We know that we have skilled guys as well and that our speed is one of our biggest strengths and we used it well. 4. What do you think made the difference in the game? Our speed I think played the biggest role in the game. With it we are able to put pressure on defensively, forecheck well and generate good scoring chances in transition. 5. Hooligans are next. Both teams are neck and neck in the standings. How important of a game do you consider this? As you said we are neck and neck and this game is as important as it gets. The Hooligans are a great team from top to bottom and do everything right. It should make for another competitive game and we are looking forward to it.
