3.      White 6 (51/46)

4.      Blue 4 (33/41)

5.      Green 3 (45/60)

Vegas Gold 8  White 6

Vegas Gold leapfrogged White for 2nd place in the regular season standings by picking up an 8-6 win last night. The final margin was only 2 goals, but Vegas Gold was pretty much in control from start to finish.  Coltyn led the way in goals for his team and did his best to impress his teacher (Bob) in the process.   The only thing that appears to be missing from his arsenal is passing.  Why pass when you are scoring goals?      Fred scored the first goal of the game for Vegas Gold and Bob added a couple during the first part of the game.  Andy scored twice for white while Jake scored once but they still found themselves down 8-3 going into the 3rd period.  The game remained 8-3 for most of the 3rd period until Ben Rossi broke loose for 3 goals to get white to within 2 goals with 2 minutes to go.  Andy nearly closed the gap to 1, but his shot hit the top of the crossbar.   Maybe that was fitting for white for how the game went down.  Kaden played another solid game in net for Vegas Gold.  Bubba had an impressive showing in last week’s win over Orange but Coltyn was able to figure him out on a number of different occasions last night.   White was forced to play ironman last night with the absence of John Matchock.

Black 13  Blue 2

Black remains in 1st place after last nights impressive 13-2 win over blue.  Clint did his best to keep Blue in the game for the first half of the game, but he probably woke up seeing shots flying around his face this morning.   Black led 4-1 at the end of the first period but it would have been worse for blue. Unfortunately, it got worse as the game went on.  Cody Haag tied the game at 1 but Black answered with 9 unanswered goals before Zach Smith scored for blue in the 3rd period when the game was out of reach.  Noah led the way in goals and good passing but he had his share of help.  Braxton scored the first goal of the game and would go on to score early in the 2nd period to push the lead to 6-1.  Joe Roush and Troy Gaydosh added multiple goals as well.  Blue had its share of shots on Adam but he remains dialed in.  Black has outscored its opponents by 30 goals after 5 weeks.  The only question Adam has right now is who he can recruit to play on the yeti starting in January.  It looks like he will give any team a good chance to win with his play in net right now.

Orange 12  Green 10

Orange picked up its first win of the season last night with a 12-10 win over Green.  Zac Gray scored just seconds into the game which made Alex Waddell happy to say that his team actually had a lead at some point this season.   Now they have a win to go with it.  It was a wild first period with the teams combining for 11 goals.  Most of the goals came from Zac Gray and Tyler Waltman.  Larry and Dave Jewell each had first period goals as well.  Green went on to take an 8-7 lead after 2 periods and saw Matt Jewell score another goal on a good pass from Tyler Waltman.  Orange put its best period together in the final 15 minutes last night by putting together some good passing and got some clutch saves from Tony in net throughout the 3rd period.  Jay Edmiston and Tyler Waltman both had breakaway shots turned down in the final part of the game.  Alex Waddell, Jason Stamler and Rob Reed each scored in the 3rd period for Orange to help give them their first win of the season.

Just sent some interviews out around 12:30. We will post them as they come in.

Clint (Blue)

1. 13-2 loss to black last night. What was your impression of them after going up against them last night? They got alot of speed! Noone on our team could get space with the ball all game! It felt like they were in our zone 80% of the time!

2. You faced a boatload of shots. Is that sometimes a good thing for the long run or were you disappointed with how it played out? The more shots the better as a goalie! Definitely better than standing there! I was most disappointed in my play! I didnt make many big saves!

3. Any positives to take from a game like that? We didnt get mercy ruled! And I get to buy a new stick!

4. You have faced every team now. Which one do you think has the best chance to win when the playoffs begin? I think it'll come down to Bob's team! They seem to have all the pieces to win! But the best part about draft leagues is u never know what will happen! Always different from week to week!

5. Knights will be coming back in a little different capacity. Do you care to share who will be on this years squad? The Knights will be a thing of the past now but theres a few familiar faces coming back plus a couple new ones! Should be a fun season!

Rob Reed (Orange)

1. You guys picked up a win last night. What can you say about the overall team effort? The overall team effort was outstanding, with players contributing in every way to secure the win. It was a cohesive effort where different individuals stepped up at crucial times, demonstrating that everyone's contribution was vital for the team's success

2. You guys came back in the 3rd period. What do you think you guys did better? Ah, it was just a game where the ball was going in. We were up after 1, they were up after 2, it probably would have just kept going that way all night honestly

3. You got some good saves from Tony in the 3rd period. What have you observed from him this season at that position? Tony is getting better each week. Despite the high score, both goalies made some really good saves. Tony's saves on breakaways in the 3rd were huge.

4. It was a wild first period. Do you like playing in those kind of games or do you like the low scoring ones better? It was pretty fun, any close game is fun.

5. Zac led the way in goals but the rest of you contributed as well. Does that help your confidence going into the rest of the season? Yeah it's good we're finally finding the back of the net, we have not given Tony much goal support.

Kaden Coulter (Vegas Gold)

1. 8-6 win over white last night. What can you say about the overall team effort in the win? Team effort was great. It has been all season.

2. White has a lot of offensive firepower. How do you think your team did in trying to contain them last night? They did great, everybody did their part on the defense side of things. I really appreciate that

3. Were you happy with how you played in net? I was! I felt like I played a good game.

4. You found yourself on a fall league championship team in brockway. What was it like playing for that particular group? It was an amazing time. Always fun getting to play with Clontz, I enjoyed every second of it

5. Are you planning on playing XHL if someone asks you? Yeah absolutely, if anyone needs a goalie hit me up!
