Foradori's Final Thoughts:
Thoughts on the Super Bowl: Worst Super Bowl I’ve ever watched
Thoughts on Jalen Hurts: Still can’t throw a football but had the best offensive line and best running back they had to worry about
Will Kelce retire: I sure hope so
What does this do for the Kansas City Chiefs dynasty: Mahomes is out of the goat conversation, Joe Montana has better Super Bowl stats than him
Tom Brady as a broadcaster: Better than Chris Collinsworth, god do I hate that guys voice
Will chiefs win another Super Bowl in the next 3 years? Well yeah, the nfl isn’t gonna let them not win
Who will be the steelers QB next season: Either Fields or Kirk Cousins
XHL’S most underrated player: Me duh
Besides you: People don’t appreciate how good Laken actually is
What goalie gets in your head the most: Henry 100%. I can’t score on the guy
Bob, Brandon, Adam and Fred have been in the league since it started way back. Who do you think will last the longest ? Bob’s like a cyborg out there. He doesn’t get tired and has no signs of slowing down. Adam is in great shape and still an elite goalie. Brandon is still unstoppable. But if I had to choose one I’d say Adam, now that Braxton is playing I think he’ll try playing as long as possible
What did you do to celebrate your birthday: I didn’t do a damn thing. I never do anything. Birthdays aren’t my thing
How do you compare brockway and Reynoldsville: I like brockway more, you can actually use the boards to your advantage and not just hope it hits the right spot on the wall and goes where you want it. And I find the puck easier to shoot
What got you into playing hockey? I always messed around in my driveway growing up. Put trash cans in front of a net and tried to pick corners. Seems like it helped me quite a bit, then they started the srhl in brockway and I figured I’d try it out
What’s been most rewarding about coaching baseball: Having good enough relationships with the kids that they can still reach out to me whenever they need to if they have something going on in their lives or whatever
Tell us something about you that most of us may not know: I can actually be a nice person it’s just way more fun not to be
What would you consider your biggest achievement playing sports in high school: Back to back district 9 finals appearance’s in baseball my junior and senior year. Lost them both but still a good experience
What was your biggest disappointment: Losing both those games haha
If you had high school to do over, would you have done anything differently: I’d actually do my homework and try on tests, this getting up at 6am since I was 18 to work kicks my ass
Aside from sports, what do you enjoy doing in your free time : I watch a lot of baseball. I play Call of Duty most nights with Jake and Clint
What’s an early projection for the pirates this upcoming season: Top 5 pitching staff, bottom 5 team hitting
Llew made a comment that it took Clontz one game to score as many goals as you did in an entire season. How do you handle that kind of criticism: If the comment would have been made by a better person then Eric I probably would have taken it to heart. But I’ve had a lot better people say a lot worse things about me in my life so it doesn’t bother me.
You were a part of the Eagles for a couple years. Did you ever have a conflict with any of the guys in the 2 seasons that you played on their team? Idk about conflict, disagreements for sure but I would always win those arguments.
Did you think playing on their team made you any better? No, I was already at my peak.
You started a new job recently. What do you like about it and is it your long term goal to still be there? I honestly don’t like anything why it but they pay well, if they keep paying well I’ll be here.
How do you balance sports with other aspects of your life? I don’t do a whole lot else so it’s not hard to balance lol. I always have a way to watch or listen to the games.
Teamwork is important in all of sports. How have you approached that in both coaching baseball and playing hockey: Hockey obviously there’s only a hand full of people that can just take over a game, most of the time you need at least 2 other people on the same page as you as everyone should know by now (some are still trying to figure that out). But baseball is different because it’s individual battles that result in team success.
What kind of coaching style did you have when you coached the baseball team: I was more of the pull you aside and talk to you about what I’m seeing and what needs to happen for us to be in the same page for what needs done in order for you to improve in whatever the conversation was about. I wasn’t much of like a teller, I tried to get both sides of what was going on so we could both figure out what the best way to fix it was.
How do you consider yourself to handle failure and defeat: Oh losing doesn’t really bother me. Lack of effort bothers me . Coaching it bothered the hell out of me because 99% of the time it’s my fault and I knew it was
Sportsmanship is pretty important in sports. How do you rate yourself in that category: I’m the best there is for sportsmanship. I’ve never said a bad thing about anyone.
Is there a coach or athlete that you looked up to in your childhood: Idk about looked up to, growing up I wanted to do everything cutch did in baseball though.
What do you think the biggest challenge is for professional athletes nowdays: Staying out of jail. There’s so many people that get their money and turn into idiots.
If you see a teammate struggling, how do you approach them about trying to get better: I’m not the right person to go to for that haha. Figure it out yourself
